Parents Code of Conduct
As a parent or guardian of a gymnast at Gymmagic, you play a vital role in supporting your child’s development and upholding the values of our club. By enrolling your child, you agree to the following expectations:
- Punctuality and Attendance
• Ensure your child arrives on time, appropriately dressed, and prepared to participate.
• Collect your child promptly from the designated area at the end of the session.
• Notify the club in advance of any absence or late arrival, where possible. - Supportive Attitude
• Encourage your child to enjoy the sport and give their best effort, regardless of outcomes.
• Celebrate effort, progress, and good sportsmanship over competition results.
• Avoid placing undue pressure on your child; allow them to develop at their own pace. - Respect for Staff and Volunteers
• Treat all Gymmagic coaches, volunteers, and officials with courtesy and respect.
• Do not openly criticise staff or other parents; any concerns should be addressed privately and constructively.
• Support coaches’ decisions and reinforce the importance of teamwork and following instruction. - Health and Safety
• Ensure your child is physically and mentally fit for training, particularly after illness or injury.
• Inform the club of any medical, emotional, behavioural, or learning difficulties that may impact your child’s participation.
• Keep all emergency contact and healthinformationup to date. - Communication and Cooperation
• Maintain open, respectful communication with coaches and staff.
• Inform the club in writing if your child intends to leave. A one-month notice period is required; otherwise, fees for half a term will apply.
• Unpaid fees that exceed three months may be passed to an external debt collection agency. - Behaviour and Conduct
• Be a positive role model by promoting respectful and appropriate behaviour.
• Refrain from using inappropriate or offensive language during club sessions or events.
• Do not take photographs or videos of children other than your own, unless permission has been granted. - Club Involvement
• Support club initiatives and attend meetings or events when possible.
• Volunteer or assist during club activities, events, or fundraising efforts where you can. - Safeguarding and Welfare
• Raise any welfare concerns immediately with your child’s coach or the Club Welfare Officer.
• Gymmagic adheres to British Gymnastics safeguarding and welfare policies.

- Photography and Imagery
• You may be asked to provide consent for the use of your child’s images for club promotion and development.
• All images will be used in accordance with the British Gymnastics Child Protection Policy (2004) and Health, Safety & Welfare Policy (2005). - Participation Agreement
• Gymnastics and trampolining involve an inherent risk of injury.
• Parents/guardians must ensure their child is physically fit and well enough to take part in training and events.
• By participating, you acknowledge and accept these risks and agree to follow all club safety rules and Codes of Conduct.
